Charlie Peacock, (born Charles William Ashworth, August 10, 1956 in Yuba City, California) is an American painter and mixed-media artist based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. In addition, he is a Grammy Award-winning music producer, songwriter and recording artist. His diverse, musical collaborations include, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, The Civil Wars, Turtle Island Quartet, Switchfoot, Bela Fleck, John Patitucci, and Chris Cornell. He is the Founder/Director Emeritus of the Commercial Music Program at Lipscomb University, School of Music and the Senior Music Editor of CT Media and creator/host of the podcast, Music and Meaning, available everywhere.
